The award:

- recognises and celebrates demonstrated records and information management; archives management; knowledge management; and history, cultural heritage, museum and library collection management service excellence by eligible SA award nominees
- promotes knowledge sharing and improvement through best practice models from which we can all learn.
The website is hosted on a Bluehost.com shared server as part of website web hosting, domain name registration, domain privacy and protection, daily backups, malware / virus protection, SSL certificate and security services, and email account subscription services.
Separate award Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn social media sites are maintained to increase award engagement opportunities, share award website content and blog news postings, and increase traffic/visitors to the award website. These social media sites operate in accordance with their respective host site privacy information policies.
Any personal data collected from award website and award social media site visitors via hosting services or various website plugins – such as email addresses and other contact details entered – is used by the award governance committee for the purposes of allowing visitors the option to:

publishing the annual award nomination winner’s summary award details and photo on the award current and past nomination winners website page; in award email and other communications; and in award website and social media site blog news postings- analysing anonymous/de-identified award website and social media site traffic and usage trends data collected via site analytical plugins or tools to improve site design and the user experience.
The award governance committee will not use or share privacy information or personal data other than for the above purposes.
