About the Award: The Bernadette Bean Award honours the legacy of the late Bernadette Bean and recognises individuals and teams who have made exceptional contributions to management, preservation and innovation to the fields of:

- history, library, museum and cultural heritage collections management.
Key Focus Areas for Nominations: We’re looking for eligible individuals and teams who have excelled in, or are working towards best practice and improvement in, areas such as:

- Enhancing management and preservation practices and services: Improving governance, digitisation, capture and digital access.
- Advancing system technologies and digital transformation: Innovations in ECM, EDRMS, archive, collection management, imaging, workflow/business automation and AI (artificial intelligence).
- Demonstrating leadership and innovation: Excellence in teamwork, creativity, mentoring, knowledge sharing, research, project management or significant contributions to their organisation or the broader industry.
Whether you’re nominating yourself or someone else — from seasoned practitioners, archivists, researchers, librarians or historians to dedicated volunteers, quiet achievers, promising students or innovative teams pushing the boundaries — this is your chance to shine a spotlight on the hard work and passion of individuals and teams who have or who are shaping the future of organisational practices, systems, collections, and local, regional or State memory and cultural heritage.
